Christmas time is coming. I love this time of year. I love everything about it the hustle, bustle, the holiday cheer. Gift giving, shopping, wrapping presents, cooking, the anticipation of the kids as they get ready for the day.
My favorite part is the story of Jesus birth. It was the same then as now, the hustle, the excitment, the anticipation as people prepared for the great day. Even Mary hurried to a town in the hill country to see Elizabeth. But the greatest excitement didn't come when Mary saw Elizabeth, it came from the child within Elizabeth's womb, he "leaped" with joy at the sound of Mary's voice. Just the sound of her voice and the child became excited.
We must never forget to "leap" for joy at the sound of Jesus name. We must never forget during this holiday season to remember that Christmas is the Birthday of our Saviour. We must never forget that before we open presents, eat food or partake of any traditions we should all start new traditions by putting Christ back in Christmas.
Make a cake for Jesus this year, sing Happy Birthday to your Saviour and read the Christmas story before you do anything else. Always remember without Jesus there would be no reason for the season.
Have a great day!
