A wonderful God filled servant of Christ came to our home and blessed us with her sunshine smile, her laughter, her love and her blessings of friendship. She gifted us with a Holy Spirit flag, beautiful chime to hang in D's room, some other blessing gifts, but the most wonderful thing she brought was herself. A ray of GOD's love shining brightly - she anointed D with oil and prayed for one thing and one thing only - that those darn hiccups would be gone and guess what - GOD took care of that prayer request - immediately they were removed from his body and he fell into a deep peaceful sleep before we left the room. It was such a great gift from our FATHER and we truly thank him for our friend Sue Havens and the powerful Prayer Warrior she is for us.
The day was extremely busy, the Hospice Chaplain came and met with me, my Mother and Dad. He said you could feel the presence of the Lord in our home. What a peace there is in this home. Daniel and James came, Jeremy dropped everything to help me once again. Carol and J W came early before leaving town. Medical equipment was exchanged, nurses came and went. A wonderful crockpot of homemade comfort food was brought by our dear friend Toni Cooper with fresh homemade cornbread. Is it still Thursday. Jill was here, Ian and Carter Dean and Hale for part of the day. It is a home full of love and blessings. D is surrounded by GOD's love with every breath he takes as am I. I believe this day must be made up of more than 24 hours because GOD put so many gifts into this one day that it almost seems unfair that we got such an abundance. But, we are most grateful for HIS love and HIS touch on everything from the hiccups to the bubble bath at the end of the day. GOD is everywhere in everything we see and touch.
Life is full of quiet moments, big dreams, joyous laughter and heartfelt tears - Thank you GOD for it all !
