Do You See What I See ?

Where do I start? Another beautiful day packed full of blessings. D and I made it one more night, up, down, round and round. We feel as if we have traveled the world in our small 12 x 14 master bedroom. We have experienced the highs of preparing for a journey to the anticipation of the day of departure to the depression of another canceled flight. We have been to the gate ready to board with a first class ticket in hand only to be called back due to maintenance problems. What do we do? We pray and thank GOD for one more laugh, one more hug, one more shared memory. That first class flight is leaving soon and every second we are together is a valued second.

One thing we sure don't do is sit around and waste our energy saying "Boo Hoo why is this happening to me?" Why not me? GOD will never lead you into something that HE won't carry you, lift you or walk you out of. Why would we want someone else to carry these burdens? Who in their right mind would wish this on someone else. Not us !

Tonight in the quiet peace of our time, I notice that D is enjoying things that I am not privileged to. He is smiling at things I can't see, talking to people I can't hear and reaching for hands I can't hold. He told me he saw his Mom Mom Momma and his son Bo. He turns from me so that I can't see the places his eyes are focusing on and falls into the most peaceful sleep of the day.

Is it the meds? NO WAY !!!! He is getting ready to board that plane ! He will be traveling out of this world to the greatest place possible. He will be Heaven bound. When? I don't know that's up to our FATHER. What I do know is that D has seen his hearts desire - His Momma and His Son coming to take him home !

When the time comes - The same Father in Heaven who comforts D on his journey also be comforting me so we will never be more than a heartbeat apart - We truly do love each other to Heaven and Back !
