Monday is one of the best day's of the week :)

A friend of mine and I were talking the other day and I told her that I refer to D's illness as Glio or GBM "Giant Bowel Movement- in the brain" It is not a pretty thought but that is what it makes me think of. Everything it touches turns to crap - really NO ! NOT !! Because the people that GLIO touch are wrapped in the HANDS of our FATHER and they aren't crap. They are created in HIS image and therefore they are beautiful.

Today was one of those amazing days - D and I finally got to sleep around 4 a.m. and he managed to sleep till 10:30 a.m.. AWESOME !!! for him, a peaceful beautiful sleep. When he awoke, let the games begin. His humor was on the spot. He picked, teased, joked and just lived the day as D always is "in the moment", and he walked. He walked around the house. He wanted to get out of this place. He didn't care where he went, he just wanted to go. His renewed strength and determination was surreal for someone who was recently bedridden. Where did it come from and where was he going? Only GOD knows and he's not saying.

D had a serious talk with Daniel and I today about being ready to go home. He sang to Carter Dean and loved on Ollie. He teased Jill and talked with Jeremy. He walked to and sat in the kitchen which made Ian cry. He visited with Jerry and DeMona and hugged JoDee. D sat for and hour with his Dad just being together. It was a day of sharing, loving, caring and celebrating love for one another.

He asked me if I had given our tithe to the church and when I said yes, he gave me a "high five" and said "good girl". His mind was here today, GOD granted us a Monday full of surprise and pretty presents that didn't have to be unwrapped.

When I hear people moan and groan about Monday's I will always be reminded of the blessings of today. Everyday is a gift from GOD - meant to be cherished not moaned about, complained about or wished away.

Everyday should be embraced held close to you, cherished and something even if it is only one thing should be found special and tucked away somewhere in your heart of memories to remind you that without the ALMIGHTY GOD you would have no chance of any tomorrows to be thankful for.

I love Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays - because - this is the day the LORD has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.
