Socks, Pokemon and Sleeping Bears

This morning came early as usual, if D doesn't get me up early, Ollie and Tac have to make their presence know because they want to go out or get something to eat. Late nights early mornings - it's a shame I am not younger this would be easier.

Last night was another long one. Thought D was sedated, asleep and down for the count. All was quiet in the house, got in the tub and sat down, just 5 minutes please LORD, that's all I need. Well, that's all I got. I heard something on the monitor and thought to myself "girl, you better get you wet booty up and out of here I don't care how good this feels." Talk about a fast buff dry and quick dress that's what I did. Could probably win an award for a quick change artist. Walk into a a darkened bedroom and just as I entered the doorway, there sits the love of my life on the bedside commode using it for a chair. Scared the pee pee out of me me. He says as sweet as you please "Hi" He is wide awake - so......he has decided that it is time to.....

take the dresser drawers out of the dresser. That's what he did for the next 3 hours. He opens and closes the drawers, removes them and of course can't put them back in - reminds me of when Bo was little and would take his toys apart but couldn't figure out how to get them back together. He would just leave the mess for me. Guess WHAT ? Same thing here. I just sit back, read, do busy work and let him wear himself out. He is on a mission and determined to get something done.

Morning dawns and the mission continues - D gets back down in the floor first thing and starts sorting out the items in his dresser drawers. He is gifting his socks to Jeremy and Daniel, his bandana's to Ian and Carter Dean. He has a purpose, he knows he has some unfinished business that must be done soon.

Later we move to the living room where he helps me sort Pokemon cards for Ian
He hasn't a clue what he is doing, but he believes with all his heart he is doing something for his #1 Grandson and that's what matters most.

He is completely worn out and ready for bed. He literally sleeps all afternoon and finally I decide that it is time to wake the Sleeping Bear - that may have been a mistake. The night is young 7:15 p.m. and we are already back in the floor headed to the closet. Thank you GOD that D doesn't like clothes and shoes as much as me.
