As usual our life is not boring - living with GLIO is far from it. One could say that it is like an adventure, thriller, horror, romance, comedy, family and bad budget film all rolled into one. We would never win an Oscar or walk the red carpet, but I promise you we would win some awards.
Last night I believe the best comedic performance goes to D Bibb - for the discovery of a not so perfect port-a-potty. His cute laughter and the wink that followed were priceless and something I shall remember as long as my memory is good.
I shall receive the best set design award for the camping site I set up in the floor of the bedroom where we decided to sleep since we were to exhausted to attempt to get back into bed after a 4 hour world tour of the bedroom to and from the port-a-potty.
Jeremy gets the best actor award in a drama series. No matter D's mood, his demeanor or the circumstance, Jeremy comes when I call and helps, lift, carry and support.
Jill gets the best supporting actress in a comedy series because today when D looked at her, growled and counted her with his middle finger she just laughed. No tears just a "I love you no matter what you do or say laugh".
Daniel and James get the best original short films "Tuck Blows Another One" and "Preacher Bat Beating" ! "Local Grocers Poop Scooping Millionaire"
Ian and Carter Dean get the best in show for children for laughing and dancing when D was dancing and singing in his bed tonight.
Niece Kim and Niece Jarah get the Humanitarian awards of the year for reaching out to the caregiver. Kim sent me the most amazing Cancer Caregiver Gift Basket, it speaks to the heart,it calms the soul and heals you when you need it. Jarah was a GOD send tonight - she sent a gift I would have never thought of - she paid for and asked her friend to come over and give massages to Jill and I !!! I thought I heard the angels sing it felt so good. What a blessing to be loved so !
So even though today was a really bad day from the critics stand point, D didn't rest well, he has some new problems developing that will create bigger problems,
There were some worst dress cases, I just realized that I put his pants on backwards, but he is finally sleeping peacefully and if you think for one minute that he cares, well think again, that is one think that GLIO puts in perspective - we will fix in at the next step. Just because the new meds haven't kicked in yet, doesn't mean the next dose won't. The critics can say all they want but today was awesome because:
Today, D had smiles and laughter, he danced with me and kissed me. He sang with Conway Twitty just like he used to. Today, I got to spend time with a special friend James and learn wonderful things about the young man he has and is growing to be. Today, we learned how to say "no" and not hurt feelings and today we were blessed to be together once again.
