Being In The Spirit

It seems like GOD has decided that I need a lot of work. I am like a 56 year old automobile, after so long you need to be fine tuned, the engine gone over with a magnifiging glass, every nut, bolt, screw taken out, oiled, greased and replaced. The wires have to be stripped and rewired, the bulbs replaced, the fluids taken out and new clean stuff put in. Maybe a new battery, the tires checked, new plugs, everything that is anything that makes your car run has to be checked and rechecked because well, it's just plain old and some things aren't necessarily better with age.

Somethings have to be changed to get better - I am one of them. I am learning to be in the spirit, the spirit of GOD. Just spent an amazing 4 days in Tennessee in the spirit of GOD, surrounded by people I didn't know, but that know my FATHER. We are all related by the blood of CHRIST, all have one common bond, all trying to walk closer to CHRIST, all trying to live a life more pleasing to GOD.

One of the things you find out as you learn to "be in the SPIRIT" is that you don't know any where near as much as you think you do about GOD. HE will reveal new and amazing things to you by the bucket full if you let HIM, if you are open to it. It is as if the scales fall from your eyes as HE opens up the amazing wonders of all HE has in store for you.

How do you tune your engine, make everything run better, clearer and fresher? You get in the spirit. How? You study, you read the HIS word, you fellowship with other Christains, you pray, you listen to music of others praising HIS HOLY NAME, you practice HIS teachings, you are still and listen to HIM. You remove those things in your life that take you away from HIM.

It's hard to be a Christain, it's hard to follow HIS teachings, it's hard to be pleasing to CHRIST but......wait for it, here it comes....the reward is worth the pain, the struggle, the heartache and the tears.......ETERNAL LIFE !!!
