The Cancer in the Room.

Wow, they say you are never to old to learn and I am a great example of that. GOD surprises me each and everyday, around every corner there is a new present just waiting to be opened for me to see what is inside.

Today, while studing Charles Stanley's devotional about Job and feeling like GOD is silent sometimes, I thought about my daughter-in-law. She just received word that her father has cancer. It's not the cancer that I thought about, it's her and her father's relationship. It's like our relationship with GOD sometimes.

You go thru the motions year after year, maintaining love at a distance. You cry, you ask questions, you beg, you plead and you wonder why GOD. Where are you when I need you. Sometimes you feel really close and othertimes you feel like you are on some other planet and GOD is no where to be found.

You find that you want to share the word and no one wants to listen. You are scared and alone in the dark and there is on one there to hold you when you cry. Or, something really wonderful has happened and you don't know who to call.

Well, I am here to tell you that even when GOD is silent, even when there are crys of anquish or shouts of joy, never never give up never cease to pray, never take you eye off the cross, because no matter what. GOD IS ALWAYS THERE! HE IS LISTENING and HE HEARS !

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates HIS own love toward us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.
