Glio has a secret word it is "corn". Yesterday, I was getting ready to go to the store, D and Ian were eating breakfast, when I asked them if there was anything special they wanted Ian said"Orange pushups", D said, you got it "corn" then he looked at me and laughed, Ian laughed and we knew he didn't mean corn, but just what did the secret word really mean. Ian starts with popcorn, corn on the cob, corn in a can...still no duck from the ceiling. D gets frustrated stabs his egg and says "CORN!" The duck hits me square between the eyes and Groucho puffs on his cigar and laughs the loudest That's right
BACON !I actually think I felt that duck hit me in the face because I assure you I would never have got that right if I had been on the show. But GLIO steals the reality from you and you have to think outside of the box. You have to live in a different world. You have to become one with the monster that has invaded your home and find a way to overcome the struggles of CORN !
D got his CORN, homemade biscuits, gravy and eggs for breakfast. . He ate well and enjoyed the laughter of the CORN memory we have made with Ian.
But in reality, he and I know that GLIO has stolen one more thing, one more piece of his brillant mind is gone. One more piece of the puzzle is missing and can't be replaced. GLIO the thief returned again this morning - today she has taken away his ability to operate a telephone, a remote and understand the basic concepts of walking. Is it the medication, is it the disease or is it CORN ! Only GLIO and GOD know for sure, but one thing that D and I know, we are never alone for the LORD said
I love you people with a love that will last forever. That is why I have continued showing you kindess". Jeremiah 31:3"

When I read your blog, I laugh and laugh, and then I cry. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Jannie....I'm with Angela, I'm laughing my butt off, and then I'm crying for you, for David, for Jill and Ian. But Ian won't remember the awfulness(hopefully) he'll remember the morning and the laughter and everytime he hears the word CORN! will have an all new meaning for him forever, and for all of us.
