I'll Still Hear Him Whisper My Name !

Wow, today has been a very strange day at the Bibb house. Don't remember when we have had a day like this. The house is quiet, the dogs are fairly quiet, visitors were down to a small number, D is not feeling well and has been sedated all day. Sleeping the entire day. It is strange.

Jill came later today and left early so I had the house to myself. D was in the bedroom asleep, baby monitor quiet most of the day, now Tac and Ollie are asleep and I just sat and listened to the sounds of silence.

It made me sad. There will be a day in the not to distant future when that will be the sound that our home makes all the time - SILENCE !

There will be no television sounds coming from the master bedroom, no gentle sounds of snoring from the bedroom floor, no "I love you" - just silence.

D will be in the Promised Land living without pain, sorry, sadness or tears. He will be hearing sounds that are meant for only those that are with him to hear. His life will just be starting. What a blessed and glorious thought that is !


There will be a new journey that I will be living within these walls some day while D is rejoicing to the sounds of Heavenly Angels, I will be living in silence.

Don't feel sad for me because, I can promise you that I will still hear D calling for me, I will still hear him whisper my name and I love you. While I will still long for the sound of his voice only be the joined by sounds of silence as the memories of D calling to me consume me, I know that some day I to will join him in Heaven to hear those same beautiful sounds and we will rejoice together for all eternity - never to suffer in silence again.
