Monday Magic

Oh how I love Mondays, everything about Mondays. The second day of the week gets me excited. Today was going to be a busy one, but GOD was good to me again. I have trouble sleeping so HE blessed me with a few extra hours of rest this morning. No hot water yet, so HE blessed me with a big pot to boil water in and a quick tepid bath this am. A great cup of coffee, a wonderful quiet time for Bible reading first thing before I started on my errands.

Then it's off to the races. I love Monday's, all the things I need to do that I put off I get to do today. Off to the shop, decisions made, business dealt with, phone calls returned. Those forgotten bills, GOD is good, I didn't forget actually found out it was paid. WHAT A GIFT ! Thank you Jesus !

Today is also treat day, today I get my every six week hair cut and color. It's like going to spa day for me. It is fun, relaxing and something I do just for me. Thank you Jesus for this gift today.

Something I am learning to do that is really hard is to eat by myself, it is not fun, I don't like it and I probably never will. It's boring, unappetizing and very very unappealing. Sometimes I just choose not to eat it's easier. Today I made myself go out to eat by myself. It was disgusting - not the food - the chore of eating alone. Gonna have to pray about this and find some way to make this something that GOD can bless - not that I need to eat, but still, I want this to be a blessing not a unhappy part of my life.

The other thing on my to do list today was to finally order the headstone for D and me. I have prayed about it, studied over the design and finally, finally picked the one I wanted. It's not an easy thing to do, there are so many choices, so much expense and when it's ordered there are no changes. It's not like a new dress you can't take it back or exchange it, it's yours no matter what. So anxious over my decision, I drive right past the entrance, have to turn around and go back, park walk in only to find out the designer is off today. Thank you GOD - it wasn't time - I just needed to take a breath and wait just a little longer to be sure, it's not like I don't know where the gravesite is anyway. All in due time right, right.

The other blessings of the day is that so far the repairs on the hot water heater have held, clean dishes, clean me. Ian came over after school and we had our nightly bicycle ride. Must say I was able to keep up with him a little better tonight. Loved opening the door to his gorgeous smiling face "Are you ready Tata?"

Praise GOD and thank you for a beautiful, packed Monday full of blessings, grace and mercy. Can't wait to see what my wonderful FATHER has in store for me on Terrific Tuesday !
