When It Rains It Pours !

Have you started on your Ark yet? Been thinking about it, the water on my sidewalk is creeping closer and closer to the front step but I know where a really good canoe is so maybe I'll just borrow it.

Seems like since Bo and Lori were killed last year David and I and the Jackson family have just had a whole lot of rain fall in our lives. I am sure that many of you feel that way that when something catastrophic happens in your lives it has a snowball effect. That when this stuff starts rolling it just keeps gathering speed and that by the time it reaches the bottom of the hill you have this massive boulder size snowball that will wipe out everthing in it's path.

How much can you bear, how much can you take on to your shoulders and still get up the next day to face it again? You can take cancer, your child and husbands death, flooded basements, car problems, struggling businesses, lonely meals, broken hot water heaters, betrayal even insomnia, but the one thing you can not bear is separation from CHRIST.

Today reinforced how much we require CHRIST as the cornerstone of our lives the foundation we stand on. Today I was privileged to care for the children of our church in the nursery - beautiful wonderful sweet little faces - anxious to be loved and to love - children who are sponges eager to soak up the news about JESUS - it was GOD's blessing to me HIS message that there is always HOPE,LOVE,JOY and PROMISE of a brighter moment - just look at the children.

After church it was off to the hospital to visit the oldest member of our church Ms. Dorothy to have Easter Communion with her and her daughter Barbara. GOD leads if we are willing to follow. A prayer, communion, hugs, kisses and shared love.

GOD rained so much on me today that it is a wonder that I wasn't just soaking wet all day - from the youngest to the oldest - GOD has just poured HIS joy and blessings all over me - my cup and spirit runneth over - HOW GREAT IS MY GOD !!!
HOW DEEP IS HIS LOVE !!!! The flood gates are open and my heart pours out the love that HE has shared with me by allowing so many to touch my lives today - HE asked me to serve and when HE did HE allowed others to bless me.
