Today I am off an another new adventure, something that a few years ago would never have crossed my path. I can't change the circumstances that led me to where I am today so I will just embrace them. I will learn from them and I will take away something new, something different and I will be changed once again by the deaths of those closest to me.
Today, I am off to say thank you to people that I have never met, to people who have stories I have never heard, to families who's lives are impacted daily from the horrors of war. Today, I am off to take a journey to praise GOD that these families as difficult as their lives are they still get to touch, love and hold each other. Today, I will remember my dear, dear friend Kei and many other GOLD STAR families that don't have that and I will weep for them. Today, I will say thank you for their sacrifice as well.
Today, is a learning day, a thankful day, a day of blessing, a day of giving, a day of sharing, a day of joy, sadness and a day of newness for many. Today the great state of Missouri says thank you in a BIG way to many wonderful soldiers. It is a great day to be alive and participating in positive events for our military.
In light of the horrors of Syria, today reminds us that right or wrong, to many lives are lost defending this nation, to many lives are wounded defending this nation, to many lives are changed forever defending this nation...........or is it ever enough?????
Today, I say THANK YOU !!!
