It's Raining Cats & Dogs
D and I have two amazing animals, a beautiful Welsh Pembroke Corgi named Ollie and a sweet cat named Tac. D bought Ollie for me in December of 2001 as a Christmas present. Ollie is the most precious, loving, gentle animal to cross your path. He loves everyone but is very protective of me, Jill, Ian and Carter Dean. His best friend besides Ian is his "brother" TAC.
Tac came to live with us in May of 2010, he was Bo's cat and then D's cat. Ian named him Tac it is cat spelled backwards. D rescued him from certin death. After Bo was killed, D, Jill and I found homes for 4 dogs, 2 horses and the cat was the only animal that we were unable to find a home for plus he was very ill. D and I got him to the vet and took care of him.
Everyday Ollie and Tac still wait for D and I to come home from work. They don't realize he isn't coming back. They wait by the door and look out expecting him to come walking in any minute. Whenever I open the door to our old bedroom, they both rush in to see if he is in there.
Because of all the storms, these guys never leave my side. They are my constant companion and good friends they are too. I am never lonely, but I worry about them. They are scared, Ollie shakes and Tac cries. It is like having Bo and Jill at home when they were little. They stick to me like velcor. You can see it in Ollie's eyes just how afraid he is and it makes me sad. The sound of Tac crying make me want to cry and I know they get tired of hearing me cry.
.I look forward to the night when it stops raining cats and dogs and Ollie can go back to sleeping like he used to
and Tac can get back to watching his regular TV programs.
Good night all my GOD watch over your homes and your animals. May you night be peaceful and your homes dry. Sweet dreams.
