Guard Cats and Surprise Packages

Another amazing day in the life and times of the Bibb household. The three of us Ollie, Tac and I have our routines down fairly pat. They wake me up just before the alarm and it's just a set standard of procedures. Rather military in style, everyone has something they like to do, have to do and need to do. Then they go outside to play while I read my Bible and have coffee. I don't know what they do when I am not here, but we are very content with each other when we are together.

Every night they wait for me to get home, every night they play chase, like kids playing tag. It goes on till bedtime. Sometimes they actually stop long enough to eat and watch TV. It is truly comical how human they are in so many ways. They are my sanity,

Wow oh Wow ! D really knew what he was doing when he brought Tac home from Bo's. That is the smartest cat I have ever seen. Tonight when I got home he was guarding the back deck like a mad lion bull. He brings me Mother's Day presents and just waits on me to get home from work everyday. That CAT is amazing...
He is so smart, he knows how much I love chocolate, reading Max Lucedo, Pink Camo hats and how much I really dislike Mothers' Day.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Mother but I have GREAT anxiety surrounding Mother's Day ever since Bo was killed. It is for purely selfish reasons I feel this way and I guess that Tac and Ollie must have got together to try to change my mind about it. This is my second Mother's Day minus my son. I have a Mothers' Day letter hanging in the room where I work that I read often. It is written in childlike penmanship

So tonight I am sitting on the couch talking to Tac (yes, I talk to my animals). Thanking him and Ollie for the wonderful Mother's Day gifts (you should see the card they left me) and this silly cat cracks a smile, starts laughing -
HE is so HAPPY !!! He and his brother Ollie have really pulled one over one me. They haven't been shopping, they didn't buy me any presents, ha ha ha ha - got you old lady !!! It was that other guy - the other stray that D brought home - the one he gifted you to to take care of you....you know your adopted son.

Mother's Day may take on new forms, shapes, colors, designs and traditions. Last year this same person made sure that I received a Mother's Day card, flowers and candy. GOD knew what HE was doing when HE brought this wonderful person into my life.

Tonight I thank GOD for the wonder of the friendship, the beauty of the love of an adopted son, (even though I am not old enough to be his Mother) the childlike innocence of the faith of believing in what I can not see and knowing it is true. Tonight I thank GOD for the laughter that Tac, Ollie and Daniel

bring to my life, the joy of the HOLY SPIRIT in my soul and the absolute truth in the resurrection.
Tonight I go to sleep with the wonderful taste of chocolate on my breath, the words of Max Lucedo on my mind and a pink Camo Hat on my head and a prayer of thanksgiving for the friendship and kindness of a young man I am proud and honored to call my friend- sweet dreams are a coming.
