Mothers' Day 2011
Mother's Day 2011 was a day a differences, surprises, memories, loss and new beginnings.
Fifty-six years ago my wonderful Mother welcomed me into her life. She has loved me, cherished me, taught me, cried for me and stood on the sidelines as I went off on my own.
She has wished me well, prayed for me and known of the mistakes that I would make before I made them. She has watched my heart break, watch my wings soar and caught me when I fell. Today, I celebrated my Mother for who she was and who she has helped me to become.
Today, I celebrate my sweetheart of a son, he is the reason I am a Mother. It was the lessons of Motherhood that I learned from my own Mother, my grandmothers and the Bible Mothers. Today I visited my son's gravesite, celebrating him and his wife by placing flowers on their graves. Today I also visited the site they were killed at. A place to remember that even though he does not walk this earth, I will always be his one and only Mother. No one can take that away, no one can change that and nothing can diminish the love we shared.being BoMomma is the greatest gift I have received. I will always thank GOD for each and everyday of being Bo's Momma.
Today I also celebrate my beautiful princess daughter. That pretty little girl who came into my life, arms full of love, laughter and joy. A girl who didn't need another Mother, she needed a friend, a commrade in arms, a "bonus" Mom. My Jill She has loved me from afar, closer than a heartbeat and in the deepest depth of any walk of life two people could share. Our blood does not run in each others veins, but our hearts beat in the same pattern of love. She is my love child. The daughter of the man I loved more than anything other than GOD himself.
So today, I celebrate my wonderful Mother, my sweetheart of a son Bo, my princess Jill and my husband D who taught us that being a family means more than anything else in the world.
Happy Mother's Day !
