Fallen Hero, Final Farewell or Is it???

The 2nd Saturday of every month at the VA home in Fayetteville in a spot behind a garden wall is a Memorial wall where a ceremony is held to honor a fallen hero. This granite moument stands as memory to soldiers who have fallen in battles long ago and some just as recent as a few days ago. Most months attendance is poor with the family of the slain soldiers and the few, brave, tired and true volunteers returning month after month to continue their service to these soldiers. It's their calling, it's their honor and it's their pride. Why do more people not attend? Why do more people not honor Veteran's today? Why are so many kicked to the curb? Why does are government continue to cut benefits,continue to give tax breaks to the wealthy but ignore the very masses of homeless on our nation's doorsteps.

That's a questions for the masses. Go to your local cemetery's and look at how many graves go without flowers on Decoration Day, how many graves go without flags on Memorial Day. How many living and breathing Veterans are homeless?

How many parents today teach their children that there is honor and respect to be learned at a gravesite. That there is wisdom to be learned from listening to the stories of the past. That without these brave men and women you and your freedoms would have died without much fanfare along time ago.

The BoyScouts come to this service every month and lead the Pledge of Allegiance, they help set up and clean up every month. How many parents still allow their children to join such a wonderful organization? How many parents are to busy being popular with their kids to teach them the core values that life is more than a ballfield, pretty clothes and cute cars. If we as families and a nation don't return to our values, GOD, Country and Family - those of you who don't belong to this elite group will be left with all your Hollywood glamour standing on the red carpet while the rest of us are riding on the cloud of GLORY headed to HEAVEN to spend eternity with our SAVIOUR.

This country WAS founded on the principal of many freedoms, but many brave men and women fought and died for you to have those freedoms. They did not talk or walk with a swagger,speak a foul language and they wore belts. GOD's last name was not damnit and they did put their hand over their hearts when they saluted OUR flag.

American clean up your mouths, clean up your acts, get off your rears, put GOD back at the front of your home and lives where he belongs and take charge, take control of this country. Quit complaining, start volunteering, start helping and life will make a difference. GOD is winning the war - evil does not and never will prevail.

It's the first day of new week - go out and get started !!!!
