Pieces Broken Pieces

Today is another step in healing or so I think. GOD continues to direct my steps leading me to donate a large number of Bo's duck hunting items to the local duck hunting chapter for their fund raiser. It has been two years, it is time to start letting go, no one needs or wants this stuff it is sitting here of no use to anyone.
Bo would have wanted someone to get some use out of it like he did. So I did it.

Four large green bags of what I thought were filled with duck clothes, duck bags etc., ducks, geese, duck blinds etc. I wanted to open the military bags and keep them so as we begin to sort them, a treasure was discovered, one of the bags was actually Bo's uniforms, his backpack, and a few miscellaneous items. One sock, one glove, pieces of the past, pieces, pieces of who my child was.

After all the duck stuff was gone, I sat down in the garage surrounded by empty bags, uniform shirts with his name and patches on them, a sock and a glove and cried enough tears to fill those empty bags. Pieces of Bo's life flashed before me, pieces of the wonderful child, man and son he is and always will be - pieces.

Today I gifted pieces of Bo's past duck hunting life and discovered pieces of his military life that I thought were lost.

GOD has such a way of gifting to your heart and life surprises of GREAT abundance when you offer blessings to others and expect nothing in return.

I love my GOD passionately and praise HIM for this wonderful gift of the pieces of our past.
