Today I finally reached out to someone that I have been wanting to say "Thank You" to for a long time. It seems like when tragedy strikes we often times forget about those on the outside of our inner circle.
Two years ago today our sweet boy Bo and his wife Lori were killed in a terrible accident - that's all it was a terrible accident - nothing more - nothing less. Can't change it, can't make it go away, can't alter the players, can't wish to go back and live a different life, it happened and we go on.
Today I contacted the wonderful officer who had the been chosen by GOD to be the one to work the accident that day. I say chosen, because he is a GODLY man, if he wasn't he could not survive the things he sees, the things he hears and the job he is required to do. Today, we met for lunch. Today, I received more blessings from our tragedy.
Cpl. brought his partner and his partners wife to join as for lunch. These men work together, live in the same town, pray together and share a bond of friendship and faith. GOD blessed me and touched me in their presence. I was able to introduce them to Bo and Lori, share stories and hopefully leave them with a picture of something other than an accident scene of April 3rd 2010. I gifted Cpl. with a picture of Bo, Lori, Carley and Taylor so he could always see the beauty of their smiles and love.
Thinking I would be able to thank him, share a meal and leave, I found myself drawn to these three amazing people. Bonded by our love of Christ, love of our country, our families, our neighbors now even in death Bo has bonded more people together.
GOD has a way of setting things in motion that we may never understand, HIS reasons are perfect, HIS timing is perfect. I believe with all my heart that the people I met today will cross my path many more times. I believe that we are destined to become something together for the greater good of GOD's great plan.
Thank you for taking such great care of everyone on April 3rd, 2010 Corporal Ted Grigson - Arkansas State Police I know it had to be very difficult for you. Thank you for the kind words about Bo today, for taking time to help me remember such a wonderful son.
