Unseen Morning Heros Always Need Prayer

Many years ago when our kids where babies like this they would leave for school.  Out the door they would go in a rush, lunches packed, books and supplies stuffed in a backpack, breakfast ate in a hurry.  Everyone rushing, rushing....no time to waste.  Seems like we never ever had time to just slow down and thank GOD for the blessings of the start of another day.  We rushed here and there until days end.  Then rush again to get dinner, go to activities, get baths, homework, bedtime stories, prayers and off to bed.  Then in the morning we started all over again.

No longer do I rush to start my days, GOD has given me a break from the things that cause those hectic moments in many peoples lives and in that process I have begun to see the beauty of the mornings again and some unsung heros I never noticed before.  Due to our new offices, I take a different route to work.  I go through two (2) school zones each day and I love it.  From the early morning hours, the moisture of the dew glistens like diamonds on the wet grass, the brightness of the taillights glaring against the red of the stoplights before the sun rises is a vast contrast to the blinding light we face going east as the sun peaks it's way over the horizon.

As I drive, I go so slow that others probably think I might be 100 years old, what am I doing.  I no longer listen to the radio, I listen to GOD...I use this time to pray over every child I see walking, the beautiful dark haired beauties, the older sister holding her baby sisters hand, both with bright pink roses in their hair.  The black of their hair make the pink color pop so brightly, the Mother's with the baby stroller's walking big brother and sister to school, I pray for the child that is heavyset that today is the day that he or she isn't bullied, I pray over the home with all the newspapers in the driveway, for GOD to touch the family inside, I pray for the bus drivers, the teachers, the school aides, the cafeteria workers, but my favorite hero of the day is my wonderful cross walker attendant - you would have to see him to appreciate him

Every morning he is there in his brightly colored vest, his leather  cowboy hat and jeans, his stop sign but the most perfect thing about him is his SMILE, he wears a smile for each child, he speaks to the children, he watches over them and he seems to really embrace the charge that he has been trusted with.  He doesn't take it lightly.

Why do I tell you a pray - not to impress, but to ask you on your way to work, on your way to start your day, instead of being caught up in the hustle and bustle of the day, take time to pray over the person the car beside you, the person walking down the street, the first person that pops in your mind, praise GOD for the fact that HE gifted you this day.  No matter what is going on, your stuck in traffic, your tired, your late, your hungry or your just whatever, use those GOD moments to make a difference in someones life with prayer.

Who are your unseen Hero's ?
