These are the three most important things in my life - over and above anything else that happens, above anything else in the world this is my life - other than my passion for GOD this three amazing creations of HIS are the reasons that I love to smile, laugh and embrace the life that I continue to live.
GOD is so good to have gifted them to me. We thrive on being together and we aggravate each other, get on each others nerves, push each other to the max and sometimes actually make each other mad. But, do not ever......threaten my baby or her babies....do not ever put them at unnecessary risks or you will have to deal with GOD and Tata.
Yesterday, while sitting at my desk I get a text from my sweet baby girl that the school is in lock down. Do you know what that means? Someone has threatened harm to another person at their school. Kids are placed in darkened rooms, doors are locked, everyone is told to be quiet and police are summoned.
Here I am in Springdale, tears quickly come to my eyes, my heart jerks, as I think about Jill trying to comfort everyone else's children while her own and just doors away being comforted by someone else. That's what teachers do, they put their lives on the line for someone else's child.
Before panic can sit in I start praying and calm replaces the fear, then anger, then frustration.......more prayers. All I want to do is get in the car and rush to her side....I am to be her protector..that's what Mothers do...minutes, seconds tic by...I gather my keys and prepare to head out...no I will wait no longer....as I am driving to Fayetteville Jill texts and says "all is clear, everyone is safe."
"Thank you Jesus ! I shout.....on to school I go...wrapping my arms around my daughter, tears in my eyes...relief, praise and happiness....school should be a safe place for our children and our grandchildren.....
Carter Dean and I go home together, play basketball, share dinner and homework....wrapped in the arms of love the events of the day are miles away from his 5 year old mine....me not so much....I am still angry at the man who caused this disturbance today, but I lay my anger aside and pray for him, his wife and son. If anyone needs the LORD's hand, guidance, protection and wisdom they do at this difficult time.
BEWARE !!! NOBODY BUT NOBODY MESSES WITH MY FAMILY !!! (BUT ME)
