These are just random shots of the birthday boy - David Hale Bibb would have been 65 years old today. Today he doesn't grow older, he doens't age, he doesn't hurt, he knows no tears or heartache - today he only knows joy and happiness. Today he is with his FATHER in Heaven living the good life.
D was a wonderful, complex man. He was a Momma's boy who thought the sun rose and set in the very essence of who she was. He would have done anything to help her life change when she suffered from many strokes that took her slowly over a 5 year period. He carried his pain and suffering on the inside and shared it with me, his partner and with GOD.
D was very respectful of his Dad and was taught at an early age the value of hard living, hunting, fishing and living outdoors. He would rather be in the woods than anywhere. His best times were at the cabin with Ollie, me or just alone. He loved the boys week-ends and quit hunting long ago enjoying more the time in the wilderness than anything else.
His greatest joy was the success and happness of his children - he was a very prideful father - believing that in spite of all the outside influences our children were exceptional individuals and he loved them with every fiber of who he was.

From our first kiss to our last kiss, D and I were bound by the love of GOD. He was my Prince Charming. Yes, he had a temper and yes we had arguments, but it made the making up all the sweeter. We celebrated our birthdays, our anniversaries, we just celebrated each other. He pampered me, he spoiled me, he teased me. There was a side to D that few people knew, he was a ham. A great practical joker, a very funny, lighthearted man and if he let you get close enough to see this side. You were on the inner circle of his circle - a great place to be.
D loved me no matter how big, how small my body or my hair was. His birthday today is a celebration of the GODLY man he became. He was raised to love the LORD, to worship and praise the LORD. D was a private, spiritual man with a gifting, loving soul. He guided his home this way, showed his children, friends, co-workers, employees, neighbors and strangers that with the love of GOD guiding you, even in the grips of death you better be right with GOD for there is no other place to turn.
I am blessed to have celebrated the life of this man on over 30 birthdays. He has made me a better person and I walk closer to the LORD because of my walk with D.
Happy Birthday my D !
